Kick off meeting October, 30 2024 UMC Utrecht

The official kick-off took place for the NWO Perspective Research Program CHIME: Cerebral HemodynamIcs, Metabolism, and clearancE. This ambitious research program aims to develop advanced, non-invasive brain imaging techniques to better map key biological processes in dementia.
During the kick-off event, leading researchers, clinical experts, and industry partners came together to lay the foundation for a successful collaboration. CHIME strives to develop groundbreaking technologies that provide insights into cerebral blood flow, metabolism, and waste clearance in the brain.
With CHIME, the Netherlands takes a significant step toward early diagnosis and personalized treatment of dementia. In the coming years, the consortium will develop innovative imaging techniques that not only advance fundamental scientific understanding but also bring clinical applications closer to reality.
